Legal
Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines
These rules apply to everyone on AD Appoint: customers, business staff, and anyone advertising through us.
Version 2026-09-27 · Effective September 27, 2026 · All legal documents
1. Who this applies to
These guidelines apply to customers, business owners and their team, and advertisers — anyone who creates an account, submits a form, or otherwise uses AD Appoint. They work alongside the customer Terms, the Business Terms and the Advertising Terms.
2. Never allowed
- Fake bookings, or booking appointments you don't intend to keep, including to tie up a business's calendar.
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing a business, a customer, or the AD team.
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or interfering with the security or normal operation of AD Appoint.
- A fraudulent review, a review of a visit that didn't happen, or a review you were paid or incentivized to post without disclosing that (see the reviews section of the Terms — every review must come from a genuine, completed, verified appointment).
- Putting someone else's protected health information, government ID, financial account details, or other sensitive personal data into a booking note, profile field, or review.
- Impersonating another person or business, or misrepresenting your affiliation with one.
- Posting hate speech, slurs, threats, or content that harasses or discriminates against a person or group.
- Using AD Appoint for anything illegal, or to offer or advertise illegal goods or services.
3. Reviews and words we hold or block
AD Appoint runs an automated check on reviews before they publish. A review containing profanity is held for AD to review by hand before it appears; a review containing a slur, a hate-speech term, or a genuine threat is always blocked and never published, regardless of who reviews it. Businesses can reply to any published review but can never edit or hide one themselves (16 C.F.R. Part 465) — only AD can remove a review, and only for violating these guidelines or the law.
4. Advertisers
Anyone requesting ad space additionally agrees to the Advertising Terms, including the prohibited-category list and the requirement that every ad is clearly labelled “Sponsored.”
5. How we enforce this
Depending on what happened, AD may warn you, remove the specific content (a review, a reply, a profile field, an ad), or suspend or close the account involved. A first, minor issue usually gets a warning; repeated or serious violations (harassment, threats, fraud, illegal content) can lead to immediate suspension without a warning. AD's platform admin team makes these decisions by hand — this isn't a fully automated ban system. If you think a decision was made in error, contact us using the details below.
